As part of the Calgary Korean Scholarship Foundation, we are excited to announce that we are holding our 4th CKSF youth summer camp in July and August. This camp is for students entering grades 4, 5, and 6 in September 2015. We will be emailing all registered parents an information sheet shortly before the camp to inform the parents of all plans and activities. Thank you, and we hope to see you and your children there!
The camp is scheduled for 2 weeks, from July 27th to August 7th, excluding weekends, from 9am to 1pm.
Activities include:
Sports (ex. Gym Activities/운동회)
Cooking (ex. Simple Korean Cooking such as 김치, 밥빙수, and 김밥)
Arts (ex. creating Korean traditional masks and 딱지)
Korean Culture related activities (ex. 국민체조, traditional sport, etc)
The camp is fully planned and run by University students who are dedicated to provide the children with an unforgettable experience!
Main locations of the day camp will be:
Calgary Korean Central Full Gospel Church (2210 28 Street SW, Calgary, AB)
Calgary Zoo (July 31st) - subject to change
Edworthy Park or Bowness Park (August 7th)
Parents or guardians must be able to drop off their kids at the stated facility by 9:00 am Pick up must be done by 1:00 pm.
Camp leaders CANNOT pick-up or drop-off your child to any location.

Note:
- Grade is based on September of 2015. Children who are going into grade 7 this fall may also apply. However, if the number of applicants exceed 40, we may not be able to accept them.
- There will be a fee of only $20 for the t-shirts we will be providing for the children. Everything else will be paid for in full by us (ie, trips, snacks, etc ...), this can be paid on the first day of camp.
- Children are required to participate all 10 days of the camp. If the number of applicants exceeds 40, we may not be able to accept any children who cannot attend all 10 days.
There are two files attached above. One is the application, and the other is the poster you may have seen around Calgary in your local Korean grocery stores, hair salons, or churches!
APPLICATION DEADLINE: The deadline is JULY 12th - will be based on a first come first serve basis up until 40 applicants. Any children outside of the age range (9-11 year olds) may apply but will be placed on the waitlist up until the deadline.
